Charlotte Ann Heyward Taylor

Charlotte Ann Heyward Taylor, Charlotte Ann (Heyward) Taylor, 52, of 909 Hamilton Ave., Waterbury, died June 26, 2002 at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven. Mrs. Taylor was born Oct. 17, 1949 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Wilbert C. Heyward, Sr. and Katherine (Byrd) Heyward. She graduated from Hillhouse High School in New Haven and worked for many years at Kevin's Seafood of New Haven, Chase Bank and Webster Bank, both located in Cheshire. She was a member of McCall AME Zion Church in Waterbury. She leaves a daughter, Tracey A. Taylor, a son, Damon D. Taylor both of Key West, FL, four grandchildren, three sisters, Catherine Stewart, Shirley Rogers both of West Haven and Judy Beamon of Waterbury; six brothers, Wilbert Heyward, Kevin Heyward both of New Haven, Gary Heyward and William Heyward both of Waterbury, Theodore Heyward and Ronald Heyward both of West Haven. She was predeceased by two brothers, Dennis and Wayne, both of New Haven. She also leaves her longtime companion, Russell McNair, an aunt Evelyn Dildy of Waterbury, an uncle, Benjamin Byrd of North Haven and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces , grandnephews and cousins. Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Varick AME Zion Church, 246 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Friends may call Sunday from 4 - 7 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
