Charlotte E. Zimmerman

Charlotte E. Zimmerman, 95, wife of the late Lester H. Zimmerman, entered into eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 12, 2017. She was born in Meriden on September 9, 1921 to the late William and Bertha Hintz Schee. Charlotte was confirmed and graduated from St. John Parochial School-Meriden High School class of 1938 and was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She also taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir. Charlotte was a member of the Walther League and a charter member of the Christian Fellowship. Charlotte will be remembered by her son, Lester L. Zimmerman of Meriden; grandchildren, Kyle (Laurie), Brett (Nancy), Michael (Wendy), and Stephen (Kate) Zimmerman; eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, David Zimmerman and his wife, Jill and daughter-in-law, Sandy Zimmerman; siblings, John Schee, Marion Anderson, Florence Manthay, and Evelyn Zimmerman. Friends are invited to visit with her family on Wednesday, August 16th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave, Meriden followed by a Memorial Service celebrating Charlotte’s life at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery.
