Christine Berger Donald

North Haven- Christine Berger Donald, 88, wife of the late George Cameron Donald, passed away at St. Raphael's Hospital on November 8, 2005. She was born October 30, 1917 the daughter of the late Frederick and Christina Chadeayne Berger. Mrs. Donald had been a North Haven resident since 1944 and worked as an Operation Supervisor with the former Colonial Bank for 21 years before retiring in 1979. She was a past Matron of Excelsior Chapter #3 and a member of the Alice Chapter #76 Order of the Eastern Star, Treasurer of Grace & St. Peters Episcopal Church, Past President of the Grace & St. Peters Evening Guild, and Member of the Grace & St. Peters Womens Group. She also served as President of the Hamden Garden Club in 1989. She leaves her Granddaughter Joanne Donald Robinson and her husband Albert of Wallingford and Great grandsons Micheal Torres and Albert Cameron Robinson. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Donald was predeceased by her daughter Suzanne Donald Hitchcock and her son Frederick C. Donald. Funeral Service at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, on Friday, November 11th at 6:00pm with an Eastern Star Service at 5:45pm. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 4-5:45pm.
