In West Haven, Dec. 22, 2013, Concepcion Martinez, 84, wife of the late Marcelo Martinez, mother of Thelma Salazar of Branford, Gloria Sanchez of New Haven, Jacqueline Rodriguez of West Haven, John Sanchez of New London and Alfred Sanchez of Winter Park, FL, sister of Richard Matheu of Deltona, FL and the late Michael and Alice Yournett. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Concepcion was born Nov. 3, 1929 in San Juan, PR the daughter of the late Juan and Thelma Carrillo Matheu. She had worked as a CNA at various convalescent homes, was a member of the West Haven Senior Citizens and attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Orange, CT. Memorial Service Monday, Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 210 Old Grassy Hill Rd., Orange, CT. Arrangements under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.
