Meriden- Cora N. Moreau, 98, wife of Robert Moreau, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. She was born July 9, 1916 in Faceville, GA; a daughter of the late Charles and Jennie Frances (Betts) Dickenson. Cora was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother who loved gardening, cooking, canning, music, and watching the birds. She was also a member of South Meriden Trinity Untied Methodist Church. In addition to her husband Robert of 71 years, she is survived by a daughter Sally (Stephen) Dow of Meriden, two son; Charles Moreau of Meriden and R. David (Rosa) Moreau of Port Orange, FL, and eleven grandchildren, Daniel (Kathleen) Perreault, Jennifer (Kenneth) Desjardins, Brian Moreau, Lyn (Mark) Patrylak, James Moreau, Greg Soto, Diana (John) Benezette, Sherrie Moreau, Rose (Steve) Malczynski, Kim (Mike) Grazier, and Theresa (David) King. She also leaves eighteen great-grandchildren, a brother; Victor Dickenson of Georgia, a sister; Charlotte Harvey of Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John Moreau, brother, William Dickenson, and three sisters; Bennie Cox, Frances Spillars, and Margaret Lam. Cora's funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 11 am at Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Alex da Silva Souto will officiate. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9-11 am, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Memorial Fund at South Meriden Trinity United Methodist Church, 145 Main St., South Meriden, CT 06541.
