Corinne J. (Maloney) Ambrose, age 87, of Hamden, passed away on April 26th, 2015 at St. Raphael Hospital in New Haven, CT. She was the wife of the late Francis A. Ambrose. Born on December 27, 1927 in Derby, CT to the late John and Mae (Magner) Maloney. She attended Annhurst College in South Woodstock, CT where she received a degree in Chemistry, working as a chemist and a teacher before beginning her 35 years as a Real Estate Agent, currently working for the William-Raveis Agency in Cheshire. Corinne was a member of many professional associations, including the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors, where she served as President in 1999 and as Director for 6 years, both the State of Connecticut and the National Associations of Realtors, and the Realtors National Marketing Institute. She was well-respected in her career, being named a consistent top producer, Realtor Associate of the Year in 1987, and Realtor of the Year in 1993. She was very involved in her community, having served on the Hamden Board of Education for 8 years, the Conservation Committee for 4 years, and was the Fire Commissioner for the Town of Hamden for 3 years. She was a member and a lector at Ascension Church in Hamden. Corinne is survived by her sons David Ambrose of Berkeley, CA, and Robert (Pamela) Ambrose of Hamden, CT, and her three grandchildren Tyler, Samantha, Robert. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Ogren. Friends may visit with her family at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 30th and may also attend her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday in Ascension Church, 1040 Dunbar Hill Rd, Hamden. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Conn. Hospice Inc. 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
