Dale John Bell (78) of Cape Coral, FL passed away on February 5th, 2025. Dale was born on December 2nd, 1946, in Meriden, CT to Arthur and Wanda (Sobolewski) Bell.
Dale graduated in 1964 from Platt High School and a year later from Wilcox Technical School, both in Meriden. Dale was drafted into the Vietnam War in 1969 and was Honorably Discharged after being wounded at war in 1971. After his service, Dale worked as a Tool & Die Maker for General Motors in both Bristol, CT and Sandusky, OH where he retired after 33 years. He made many lifelong friends at work and enjoyed catching up with them whenever he could.
Dale enjoyed going to his favorite hangout in Meriden “The Shack”, playing softball for the Polish Knights, countless hunting and fishing trips, where he always included bringing his daughters on opening day. He also enjoyed countless trips to Cedar Point after moving to Ohio with his daughter Darlene; there wasn’t a roller coaster that they didn’t enjoy nor waiting hours to ride the newest one.
