Daniel James Heath
NEW HAVEN - Daniel James Heath, 50, of 58 Gilbert St., died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at his home. He was born in Springfield, Ohio, May 6, 1951, a son of James and Pauline Stanley Heath of Meriden and served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked as a chef at Actor's Colony in Derby and had worked in the maintenance department at the V. A. Hospital in Newington. He was a member of the West Haven Veterans Chapter and was an avid hunter. Besides his parents, he is survived by five brothers and their spouses, Edward and Marianne Heath, Michael and Susan Heath, Andrew and Roxanne Heath, Ronald and Ann Heath and Steven and Lisa Heath, all of Meriden; four sisters, Deanna and Russell Boyington of Southington, Joy and Robert Oliano, Gail Heath and Holly Rooks, all of Meriden; two stepbrothers, Robert Heath of New Haven and James Heath of Newington; three stepsisters, Mary Poirier of Turners Falls, MA, Sandra Bach of Branford and Esther Heath of Meriden and his companion, Colleen Lowell of Oxford, CT. He was predeceased by two brothers, Lester Heath and William Heath. The funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Frederick Rapp will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
