David Allen Russell, 51, beloved husband of Concetta A. Russell, passed away suddenly May 26, 2010. He was born Hempstead, LI, NY, a son of Bernard W. and Sandra Richard Russell of Swansea, NH and resided in Hamden since 1994. Father of Meggan Russell of Cape Cod, MA, Trina Cretella of Hamden, Wayne Russell of SC, Sean Roberts of Cape Cod, MA, and Anthony Cretella of North Haven. Brother of Diane (Charles) Smith and Debbie (Lou) King of NH. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Free Church, Woodbridge, and served with the Children's Ministry and the Men's Ministry. Dave served in the US Navy from 1976-1980 and he enjoyed fishing, cooking and animals. A service of rememberance will be held on Thursday, June 3, at 7 p.m. in the Trinity Evangelical Free Church, 33 Center Rd., Woodbridge. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN.

  1. Dad we had some good times together. You were the best! I will always remember the times we shared together. Playing pool, shooting off fireworks, partying, holidays, birthdays, and all the other times we shared together. You made me laugh and you made me smile. You were one of a kind and that’s what we all loved about you the most. I know your watching over us all now and just keep us headed in the right direction. I love you with all my heart and I will always know your right there looking over me. I know I will see you again one day and when I do we will do it all over again together.
