David B. Armstead

David Brian Armstead, 51, of Hamden, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 25, 2019. Born in New Haven on April 28, 1967, he was the son of Robert and Sharon (Rourke) Armstead of Hamden. He is survived by his sons, Brian Armstead of TN and Myles Armstead of MD, his sister, Stacy Armstead of Hamden, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He had worked as a mixer at Leon's Bakery for 27 years, and was an avid basketball and Boston Red Sox fan. Although David was known to be rather quiet, he had the ability to make people laugh. He was a kind, gentle, loving person who cherished his family and will truly be missed. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Wednesday, January 30 from 9:30-11:30 a.m, prior to a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating David's life at 12:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Interment in Centerville Cemetery.
