  39. My condolences to the family. When loosing a loved one it can be unbearable. That is why God has provided scriptures in the Bible to help ones cope with the loss. In the Bible book of Isaiah 25:8 Jehovah God promises soon to “swallow up death forever.” He also promises to bring back those who have fallen asleep in death (Acts 24:15). In a little while longer this kind of pain will be a thing of the past (Revelations 21:4). May these scriptures bring you comfort in this difficult time (jw.org)

  40. I have no words to help you or explain even how I feel. Denise was such a good friend and I am in despair that I had not kept in touch over the years. She will forever be in my heart and you all will be kept in my thoughts and prayers.
    Your old neighbor and friend,
    Janet (Higgins) Guarino

  44. So very sorry for your loss. I remember Denise as a lovely person, wonderful with the Church Street students. She was always so helpful to me. No chore beyond her.

  45. I was shocked and deeply saddened to see this posting of Denise’s sudden passing. Even though I haven’t lived in Connecticut for almost 45 years, I still remember Elvera inviting my father and myself over to spend time with the family and the kids. I remember Denise very well as a happy, vibrant teenager along with the other kids, and I only wish I had the opportunity to get to know her as an adult. My prayers and my thoughts are with you, Elvera, and her husband and children and all the extended family. I am forever thankful to God that I got to know Denise even though it was so long ago. I have never forgotten your kindness, Elvera, and the kindness of your family and children in making us feel like we were part of the family.
