Dennis John St. Pierre
Meriden- Dennis John St. Pierre, 47, of Meriden passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2009, after a long illness. Dennis was the beloved husband and sole mate of 14 years to Sandra Logan St. Pierre. He was born in Waterbury on May 29, 1961 to Frank Turrell of Torrington and the late Josephine LaFauci Turrell.Dennis graduated from Torrington High School in June of 1979. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged on August 4, 1983. He worked at Arkema in Kensington for 15 years. His hobbies were bowling (Sunday Morning Mix), playing Texas Hold'em with family and friends (nickname Shakey D), fishing with his Scott, his computer, comic books, baseball cards, and his grandchildren.Besides his wife, Dennis is survived by his father Frank and his companion Claire Holmes of Torrington, and his mother-in-law Yvonne Logan of Meriden. His children, Dennis St. Pierre, Jr. and his friend Jessie Fedina of Meriden, David St. Pierre and his wife Michelle of Colorado Springs, CO, Danielle Tompkins of Meriden, and Ryan Tompkins and his wife Starla of Plainville. His greatly loved grandchildren, Larissa, Levi, Season, Saylor, Kage, and Dagon. His brothers, Roger St. Pierre of Torrington, Michael St. Pierre and his wife Tina of New Hartford, and Thomas Turrell of Torrington, sisters, Donna Cyr and her husband Gil of Meriden, and Ann Marie Talbot and her husband Michael of Torrington. Nieces and nephews, Christopher Cyr and his wife Angel of Meriden, Michelle Bacote and her husband Clinton of Meriden, T.J. and Skyler Turrell, Rachelle and Mathew Talbot, and Justin St. Pierre all of Torrington, and Michael St. Pierre, Jr. of New Hartford. Many aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. He was pre-deceased by his uncle Pasty Palumbo and father-in-law James T. Logan. He will be missed by all.The St. Pierre family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Mid-State Medical Center and Hartford Hospital for their kind and thoughtful care.A Funeral Service will be held at Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden on Tuesday, January 27 at 11 a..m. Friends may visit with the family on Monday evening (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers a donation in Dennis' memory may be sent to the charity of your choice.

Dear Sandy & Family: I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I know what a blessing he was in your life. And, I know he truly made a difference in the lives of so many others. Although, we were not able to get to know him as well as I would have liked since we live so far away, it truly was a delight in visiting with you both when we were in Connecticut. He had a great spirit about him, and a very loving attitude. I am so sorry for your loss. Sandy, you were blessed to have met your soulmate but he was just as blessed to have met you. I will always smile and think of Dennis when I see dragons. If you need anything, please let me know.
I will miss: the brother who was there for me, for everything. From the walks around the block, babysitting me, giving me away at my wedding, the birth of my 1st child, x-mas parties, casino trips.We lived an hour away, but we were very close. I love you Dennis and you’ll be in my thoughts and my heart everyday I’m on this earth until, I join you again.

To the Entire Family: I have not kept in touch with everyone since I moved from Jordan Lane over 6 years ago, so I was shocked to hear of the passing of Dennis. I’m so sorry for your loss. It was always fun attenting a Turrell/St. Pierre gathering because you could always count on Dennis to be life of the party (especially the dancing!)
