Diane H. Brown
Meriden- Diane Humphrey Brown, 66, passed away on July 3, 2016. She was born August 21, 1949, in Jacksonville, NC, daughter of the late Henry and Vera Jeanette (Pollock) Humphrey. Diane was a writer and avid reader. She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She was broadly known as a lover of butterflies. Diane was a phenomenal woman who embodied the theme song 'I am Woman.' She was a dedicated employee of Northeast Utilities for over 30 yrs and consulted at NU for many years after retirement. Diane was a devout Jehovah's Witness and stood firm in her faith and love for her father Jehovah God. She is survived by her children, Michelle Brown of Meriden, Henry (Jan) Brown of CA, Cherna (Christopher) Baten of Manchester, Lynita (Ronnie) Brown-Gibbs of Meriden and Natalie (Kevin) Jones of MN, a stepson, Brian (Michele) Green of Waterbury, a sister, Gloria Mae (Haywood) Norman of NC, a brother-in-law, Claude Porter of NJ, a sister-in-law, Brenda Humphrey of NC, fifteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, dear friend Nathaniel Jones of Waterbury and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnessess, 1480 North Colony Rd., Meriden, Ct. A Memorial service will follow at 2pm. Reception to follow. Burial will in New Pine Grove Cemetery will be private. The Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden has been entrusted with the arrangements.
