Dolores M. Parcella, 94, of Hamden, wife of the late Edward G. Parcella passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2022. Loving mother of Patricia Esposito of Hamden, and Pamela Holden of Colchester. Grandmother of Alicia Esposito (Erik Tanner), Jennifer (Greg) Little, and Julie Ann Esposito-Belcher. Aunt of Valerie, Deborah, Leslie, Raymond Jr., and Robert. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; Amanda, Emily, Dylan, Olivia, Tanner, Mack, and Chloe, 2 great-great grandchildren, Juliana and Jaxon, and her wonderful caregiver and friend, Rose Fitzpatrick. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Arthur Bernardini, niece, Suzanne Bernardini, and sons-in-law, George Esposito and Robert Holden.
Dolores was born in Providence, RI September 9, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Blanche Beauvais McGillivray, and resided in Hamden for many years. She was employed at Caldor’s Dept. Store as a head cashier prior to her retirement. She always enjoyed trips to the casino and traveling to Block Island, had a great sense of humor and dry wit, and loved spending time with her family.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 28th at 1:00 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may visit with her family from 12 to 1 p.m. Interment in Centerville Cemetery.
