Don L. Carron (Donny), 71, of Meriden, loving husband of 42 years to Doreen Spaar Carron, peacefully passed away and went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2021. He was born in Franklin, NY on September 1, 1949, a son of the late Albert and Virginia Bedell Carron. Besides his wife Doreen, Don is survived by his loving daughter Rebecca L. Carron (whom he adored) and her partner Thomas Amling, foster siblings; Francis, Harold, John, and Rudolph Gero, Deborah Safford, Beverly Malark, Kay Thorne, and Leda Bushey, brother-in-law James Spaar, sister-in-law Charlene Spaar, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Steven Carron. Don was a veteran of the Army.  He spent much of his career at Wallace Silversmiths in Wallingford and later at BYK USA in Wallingford until his retirement.

Don loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He enjoyed going on “road trips” up to their home in New Hampshire.  He loved spending time with his two dogs, Abby and Gabby.  Special thanks are given to Judith and Carl Washburn for their many years of friendship. He will be sorely missed by family, friends, and others that knew him.

A Memorial Service celebrating Don’s life will be held on Thursday, August 26 at 11 a.m. at the Hubbard Memorial Chapel in Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old Colony Rd., Meriden. Interment will follow at the conclusion of the service in the Rybeck Memorial Garden in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Don’s memory may be made to The American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492.
