Dorothy B. DeLeonardo
Dorothy 'Dot' B. DeLeonardo, age 93, of Beacon St., Hamden, passed away on Feb. 13, 2010 at the Hamden Health Care Center. Dot is the widow of Louis J. DeLeonardo. Born in New Haven on April 21, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Alfonse & Teresa DelVecchio Barile. Dot is survived by her son, John DeLeonardo & his wife Fran; granddaughters, Jeanne & Susan DeLeonardo all of Westport and her sister Mary Murphy of Hamden. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rose Willis & Jean Briar and her brothers, Anthony & Joseph Barile. Dot was a retired Shipping Department Supervisor for the former Voos Company in New Haven. She was a former member of the Hamden Moose Club. Her funeral will leave from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 10:15 AM. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. Friends may also visit with her family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM. Interment will take place in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
