Mrs. Dorothy Develin Roessler, 90, wife of 52 years to the late Frederick Carl Roessler, passed away Oct. 6, 2003 after a brief illness. She was born in New Haven, July 16, 1913 a daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Develin and had resided in North Haven since 1960. She was the loving mother of Carl F. Roessler of Las Vegas, NV, Alan Roessler of East Lyme, CT and the late Elizabeth Tiefenbrunn, grandmother of Paul, Alan, Kira and David Roessler and Deborah Hecker, great -grandmother of Alexander and Adam Roessler, Robert, Matt, Tim and Rachel Hecker and Jessica and Joseph Roessler. She was predeceased by 12 sisters and 1 brother. Dorothy was devoted to her family and during her life she enjoyed art, gardening, cooking, ceramics, astrology, and spending time with her family and friends. Friends may call at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Thurs., Oct. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be private. Burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of one' s choice.
