Dorothy 'Dot' M. Kosh

KOSH, DOROTHY ''DOT'' Dorothy M. ''DOT'' Kosh of 127 Washington Ave., Hamden, passed away Saturday April 27, at home surrounded by her loving family after a couragous battle with lung cancer. She was born in Hatfield, MA, February 12, 1933 a daughter of the late John J. and Hilda Corman Fortsch and had lived in Hamden since 1974. She was a graduate of Fitchburg State Teachers College and was a school teacher for many years having taught in Greenwich, CT, Long Beach, CA, Germany and Bridgeport, CT. Dot's passions included playing the piano, painting with oils, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Joseph Kosh of New Haven, Dean Kosh of North Haven, Heidi Kosh of Hamden and Suzanne Murphy of Billerica, MA , five grandchildren; Christopher, Kyle, Scott & Ryan Murphy and Molly Kosh and a brother John Joseph Fortsch of Springfield, MA. Funeral service will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Tuesday, April 30, at 11 AM. Friends may call prior to the service from 10 to 11 A.M. Burial in Centerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 127 Washington Ave., P.O. Box 188, North Haven, CT. 06473-0188.
