Dorothy F. Hartenstein

WALLINGFORD - Dorothy F. Hartenstein, 86, died Monday, Oct. 22, 200l,at Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Hartenstein. Born in Meriden April 10, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Frederick and Elizabeth Maude Graham Fox. She was a graduate of LaSalle Junior College and had been part-owner of the former Fox Music Store. She was a member of Westwood Court No. 5, Order of Amaranth; the Ladies Social and Benevolent Society and the Thursday Morning Sewing Group of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Edmund Remillard of Branford; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. and Deborah Hartenstein of Meriden; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. William (Shirley) Cook of Meriden. She was predeceased by two brothers, Dr. George G. Fox and Christian F. Fox. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel at the Masonic Home in Wallingford. The Rev. Ray Cooley will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday (TODAY) from 6 to 8 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
