Dorothy H. Christensen, 65, of 17 Maple Street, Hamden, entered into rest on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Robert O. Christensen Sr. She was born in New Haven on January 21, 1945 to the late Angelo and Theresa Finoia Sr. She was a prior partner of Robert O. Christensen Cemetery Maintenance. Dorothy was a loving mother to her children James T. Christensen of Wallingford, Jennifer and Randy Guevin of Hamden, John (Gus) Christensen and his wife Lisa of Hamden, Roberta Delgobbo of East Haven, Robert O. Christensen Jr. of New York, Catherine Christensen of Hamden and Diane Pulisciano and her husband Dean of Alton, VA. She is also survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Hoxsie and husband Kenny of Pawcatuck, Mary Rubertone and husband Tony of Hamden, Nancy Keehan of Wallingford; brother, Angelo Finoia Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Wallingford. Dorothy also leaves behind the sunshines of her life, grandchildren, Amanda (Panda), Randy Jr. (Her Little Man), Cassandra (Her Princess) and Jared (Jear, Jear) Guevin, Joshua, Jessica, Joseph and Jonathan Christensen, Robin and Steven Delgabbo, Robert Christensen III, John Mitchell, Janet and Richard Abely, and Jeremy and Shawn Pulisciano and her great grandchildren, Hayley and Shawn Pulisciano Jr. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, on Tuesday, January 4th at 9:15 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10:00 a.m. Friends may visit with her family on Monday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Hamden Plains Cemetery after the mass.
