Dorothy Jane Brainard

MERIDEN - Dorothy Jane Brainard, 79, of 292 Thorpe Ave., died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Frank S. Brainard. Born in Meriden, Dec. 26, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Wilhelmine Nelson Greiner. She was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Ronald Spencer of Southington; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Leslie Brainard of Cheshire; and three grandchildren and a spouse, David and Karen Spencer of Cheshire, Susan Carson of Southington and Amy Brainard of East Brookfield, MA. She was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Greiner. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 20 Catlin St., Meriden. The Rev. Anne Jensen will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Hill Cemetery in Middletown. Relatives and friends may call Friday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
