Memories Timeline

  1. So surprised and saddened to learn of Lew\’s passing. It was a privilege to reconnect with him and Pat at Atria.

  2. Sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one. I am from Roanoke also. The family name is Edwards. My older sister Barbara babysit for Llyburn & Lewis children. We lived around the corner from the Downing family. May memories be of comfort to the family now & forever. May God bless all of you unconditionally! With love! Carolyn Edwards Justus & Family

  3. Dear Pat,

We were so sad to read that Dr.Downing had died. He was such a nice man. We have some nice memories of him as our Doctor, and also at the picnics at the Fitzgeralds’. He always wore his picnic pants with the bugs on them.

    We will not forget him.

    Chuck & Bobbie Warfield

  4. Doc and I spent many an hour on the tennis court. He made me a better player than I ever thought I could be. I am sorry to hear of his passing and may he rest in peace.
