Dwight H. Munson, 75, of Hamden, husband of Sylvia D. Munson, passed away on October 5, 2008. He was born in New Haven on June 30, 1933 to the late Leslie and Viola Burgmann Munson. Dwight leaves his children, Ronald Munson of Por La Mar, Venezuela, Debra Munson of Plantsville and Donald Munson and his wife Diane of Hamden and loving friend Marcia Phelps. Dwight is a life long resident of Hamden. He enlisted with the United States Army right out of high school and proudly served his country for two years. After being Honorably Discharged he was a truck driver until his retirement in 2006. Dwight was extremely dedicated to his job but always made time for what was most important, his family. A Memorial Service will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, on Friday, October 10th at 11a.m. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 9:30-11:00. Military Honors will take place at the service. Memorial contributions in Dwight's name may be sent to the Village at Mariners Point, 111 South Shore Dr., East Haven, CT 06512 OR the Alzheimer's Resource Center, 1261 South Main Street, Plantsville, CT 06479.
