Edna Jane Myers, 98, longtime Hamden resident, loving wife of the late Robert E. Myers, passed away on June 1, 2018 at Masonicare in Wallingford. She was born in Scranton, PA on June 11, 1919 to the late Creighton and Estelle MacCulloch Winters. Edna is survived by her children Charlotte (Richard) Lassen of Hamden and Creighton (Karan) Myers of Cheshire, grandchildren, Melissa (Steven) Cavanaugh, Beth (Paul) Anthony, Emily (Timothy) Morrison, and Haley (John) Serafin. Great-grandchildren are Jared and Elizabeth Cavanaugh, Jake Anthony, Gwendolyn Morrison and Morgan Serafin. Edna was a bookkeeper for Geometric Tool and Hamden Chrysler Plymouth for many years until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Woodbridge and then Olivet Baptist Church in Hamden. Friends are invited to visit with Edna's family on Monday, June 4 from 4-7 p.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, Hamden. Burial will be at Centerville Cemetery, Washington Ave., Hamden Tuesday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will follow at 11 a.m. at Olivet Baptist Church, 3762 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT 06518. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edna's memory may be made to Olivet Baptist Church, Hamden.
