Edward Emil Limmer
MERIDEN-Edward Emil Limmer, 83, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was the husband of the late Edna Michaelis Limmer. He was born in Meriden, April 13, 1917, the son of the late Otto and Marie Grotzke Limmer. He was a graduate of Wilcox Technical School and worked at International Silver Company. Mr. Limmer was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Eagles Club and the Columbus Park Bocci Club. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine Limmer Francis and Paul S. Francis; a granddaughter, Charlene T. Francis; a grandson, Kevin L. Francis; two great-grandsons, Paul L. Francis and Kevin N. Francis; two great-granddaughters, Shelby N. Korb and Alyssa L. Mroczka; a sister, Harriet Barry and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Limmer and Herman Limmer and two sisters, Anna Nitsche and Alvina Morin. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Perry L. Beaver will officiate. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
