Edward H. Doerr age 76, passed away Jan. 16, 2009 in Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Lois Froehlich-Doerr. Born in Bronx New York on February 2, 1932 he was the son of the late J. Wilhelmina Radler, Charles Doerr and step father John Radler. He is survived by son John R (Elizabeth) Doerr of Gurnee IL; daughter Nancy L Esposito of Wallingford CT; granddaughter Aliyah Doerr; and three nieces and a nephew. He graduated Norwich Free Academy and Quinnipiac University. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a stock broker for 38 years of which he was assistant manager for 16 years at Gruntal. He was a member of the Annawon Lodge #115 A.F. & A.M. of West Haven and a 53 year member of the 1st Congregational Church in West Haven. He used his financial skills to serve his church on Trustee and Finance Committees; his community on the West Haven Village Improvement Assn. (Library Board - 30 yrs) and West Haven Green Nursery School Board. Ed loved to garden, golf and traveled extensively in the US and abroad with his family and friends. Many will remember him as the auctioneer (25 yrs) for the annual church fair on the West Haven green. Friends may call at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. Masonic service by Annawon Lodge at 7:30 p.m. Memorial service on Wed. at 11:30 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of West Haven. Contributions may be made to the 1st Congregational Church Book of Remembrance Fund, 1 Church Street, West Haven CT 06516.

We always have held and regarded your family as part of ours, as memories of Tante Minnie and Uncle Hans are ever with us. May Eddie now rest with them in the peace of Heaven.
