Eleanor 'Elie' Conner Butler

In New Haven, Eleanor ''Elie'' Conner Butler, 73, of West Haven died at YNHH, June 12, 2001.She was born June 14, 1927 in Hartford, daugher of the late Helen Furlong Cameron, step-daughter of the late Aubrey Cameron and daughter of the late Dwight Conner and step-daughter to Eve Conner of East Haven. She was predeceased by her loving sister, Marilyn ''Mur'' O'Bymachow and a grandson, Timothy Butler. Besides her husband of 54 years, James H. Butler, she leaves 3 sons, James E. Butler (Linda) of West Haven, Charles B. Butler (Helen) of New Haven, John P. Butler (Lori) of West Haven and a daughter Mary E. Numa (Stewart) of West Haven. She was so proud of her 7 grandchildren, Jim (Lisa) Butler, Chris (Joyce) Butler, Amy, Patrick and Rebecca Butler, Matthew and Olivia Numa and a great-grandson, Jacob Butler. She also leaves her dearest friend, Helen Lindsay and the members of the ''Club'' (who were special to Elie). Eleanor was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church where she sang in the choir for over 50 years and was a member of the St. Therese Guild. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., at Court St., West Haven, Friday, June 15 at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in St. Lawrence Church, 207 Main St., West Haven at 11 a.m. Friends may call Thursday (Today) from 4 - 8 p.m. Burial will be private.
