Eleanor L. Considine

Eleanor L. Considine, Hamden - Eleanor L. Considine, 84, of 280 Lane Street died May 29, 2002 at CT Hospice in Branford with her two sons by her side. Born in New Haven in 1918, the daughter of John Leaf and Minnie Miller she was the widow of Raymond J. Considine also of New Haven. A 1936 graduate of Hillhouse High School she worked for the A.C. Gilbert Company of New Haven and later for Community Bank and Second New Haven Bank before retiring in 1982 after 25 years of service. She is survived by sons: Ray Considine of Framingham, MA and Peter Considine of Brooklyn, CT: four grandchildren, Joshua Considine, Kathryn Considine, Meaghan Considine and Regan Considine: and two sisters, Ebba Casius of Hamden and Ethel Moriarty, formerly of West Haven. She was predeceased by a brother, Milton Leaf, of Hamden. Family and friends are invited to the funeral service Saturday, June 1st at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 450 Whitney Ave., New Haven. Calling hours beginning at 10 a.m. with the service at 10:30 a.m. Interment immediately following the service at Beaverdale Cemetery.
