Eleanor R. Peterson

In Cheshire, Eleanor Rhodes Peterson, 84, of 150 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire and formerly of Dessa Dr., Hamden died October 1, 2000. She was the wife of Commander Ernest Robert Peterson, USN., Retired, mother of Charles Dana Peterson and grandmother of Kirsten Peterson both of West Hartford, sister of the late Arnold M. Rhodes. She was born in Lancaster, New Hampshire, November 13, 1915, daughter of the late Roger W. and Alta Young Rhodes. Mrs. Peterson was a member of the Spring Glen Church since 1959, former secretary to the Church Council Altar Guild. She was a secretary at Yale University for many years. Mrs. Peterson was formerly a member of the Women's Seaman's Friend Society, the West End Club of Westville, Yale New Haven Hospital Auxiliary, International Chapter P.E.O., Chapter C Sisterhood, New Haven Bird Club, The Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity and the Alumni Association of the University of New Hampshire. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Spring Glen Church.
