Eleanor V. Jordan

Eleanor V. Jordan Eleanor V. Jordan of Hamden, a former longtime New Haven resident, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born January 1, 1914 in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie H. Jordan. Miss Jordan attended New Haven Public Schools and was a 1935 graduate of Albertus Magnus College. She was retired from Charles Scranton & Co. where she worked for 40 years. She was an active member of the Albertus Magnus Alumni Association. Miss Jordan is survived by her cousins, Virginia O. Moran of New Rochelle, NY, Jean Goord of New Haven, Patricia J. Ricci of Eastchester, NY, Cathleen D. Guinta of Stamford, Justine Ann Miller of Hamden, Mary Beth Gray of North Branford, Lynn Gourd of Southington, Alicia Walker of New Hampshire, Mariah Stillwater of Arizonia and David Moran of Greenwich, CT. She is also survived by a committed and caring circle of friends. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Thurs., Jan. 31 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Rita Church at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call Wed. from 4 - 8 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
