Elizabeth Alice Kroeber Westfort

Meriden - Elizabeth Alice Kroeber Westfort, 86, of 42 Sperry Lane died Friday Dec. 13, at the MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of Robert Edward Westfort. Born in Richmond Hill, Long Island, NY a daughter of the late Robert Theodore and Hattie Benson Kroeber. She had worked as a cook at Platt High School and for seventeen years at Wilcox Technical School and had been a Cub Scout leader, enjoyed singing, dancing, and belonged the South Meriden Trinity United Methodist Church. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons and their wives, Ronald and Suzanne Westfort of Durham, Robert and Gertrude Westfort of Feeding Hills, MA, six grandchildren and their spouses Michael and Sara Beth Westfort of Needham, MA, Jason and Michelle Westfort of Wallingford, Veronica and John Pasieka of Middletown, Betsy Ellen and Mike Misialek of Framingham, MA, Leane and Bruce Slawinowski of Durham and Lisa and Joe Angell of Fairfax, VA, five great-grandchildren, Matthew Misialek of Chicopee, MA, Leah and Evan Slawinowski of Durham, Ashlyn Angell and Dane Slawinowski of Fairfax, VA. She was predeceased by three brothers Robert, Clifford and Wallace Kroeber. Relatives and friends may call at BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, Mon., Dec. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. The Rev. Susan DeSousa will officiate. Burial at Walnut Grove Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
