Elizabeth (Libby) Gudrian passed away peacefully Thursday, October 4, 2007 and will once again be with her beloved late husband Ernie and cat Tommy. Libby was 86. Libby leaves behind her sons, Ernie of Meriden, William and his wife Roberta of So. Meriden, and Jack and his wife Karen of Middletown, and five grandchildren, Michael Gudrian of Meriden, Kenneth Gudrian and his wife Jennifer of So.Meriden, Kim Southard and her husband Ed of So. Meriden, Jennifer and Scott Gudrian both of Middletown. She also leaves behind 5 great grandchildren, Michael Jr and Ashley Gudrian of Meriden, and McKensi, Grace and Sydni Gudrian of So. Meriden. She was predeceased by a daughter Linda Gudrian. "Grammy downstairs" will be greatly missed by McKensi, Grace and Sydni with whom she resided with for many years before her illness, but are comforted to know that she is going to be in heaven with angels eating all the jelly donuts she wants. Libby will also be sadly missed by her dear friend Mary Doylon of Meriden. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 11:00am at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. There will be no calling hours. The Beecher and Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden is in charge of the arrangements.

  2. I am sorry to read of your loss. I met Aunt Libby once in the 1960s, when I was a child when my family traveled from Maine to visit dad’s mom Julia & sister Milly.

  3. Sorry for your lose-Libby(ma as I once called her) will be greatly missed by all especially McKensi, whom loved to talk of her on the bus(I drove her) when she was in Kindergarten.
