Elmer S. Frederickson

Elmer Stanley Fredericksen, 79, of Phelps Dr., Hamden passed away Monday. Sept. 9, 2002 in West Haven after a brief illness. He was born in New Haven, March 20, 1923 a son of the late Elias and Magdalene Larsen Fredericksen and had resided in Hamden all of his life. He was employed by the Home Insurance Co. of North Haven for 25 years, retiring in 1982. He was a sergeant in the US Army Air Force during WW II from 1941 to 1945. Mr. Fredericksen was a member of the American Legion Post # 71 of West Haven and had served two terms as Commander and other staff positions. He is survived by a sister Nancy M. Fredericksen of Hamden, with whom he resided, and was predeceased by a brother Edward L. Fredericksen. Funeral service will be Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002 at 1 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may call prior to the service from 12 to 1 p.m. Burial with military honors in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
