Elsie Cassidy O'Brien

Elsie B. O'Brien loving wife of Wesley J. O'Brien to whom she was married for 68 years, of Fairy Glen Dr. North Haven passed away Thursday January 15, 2004 in the CT Hospice Branford after a brief illness . She was born in Montreal, Canada June 18, 1914 a daughter of the late Herbert Bruce and Molly Kinney Cassidy and resided in North Haven since 1953. Mrs. O'Brien was an active dedicated member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of New Haven for 66 years, and was a graduate of the St. Raphael School of Nursing in 1934. Mother of Carol E. Smith of Wallingford, and her husband the late Lawrence G. Smith, Eileen O. Brown and her husband Charles E. Brown of North Haven, Andrea O. Connolly and her husband Joseph L. Connolly of North Haven, Wesley J. O'Brien Jr. and his wife Deborah H. Ward-O'Brien of North Haven. Grandmother of Jennifer Gargano, Jane Pieper, Christopher Connolly, Daniel Brown, Elizabeth Connolly, Rachel Kuczma, Cassidy O'Brien and the late Wesley James O'Brien III, also survived by 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 sisters Eileen Beckwith and Gladys Neubieser, and two brothers Herbert Bruce Cassidy and Charles Cassidy. Funeral service will be Monday January 19, at 11 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT 2300 Whitney Ave Hamden. Pastor William Dudgeon will officiate.
