Elsie Goodwin Gregory

In the Hospital of St. Raphael, Nov. 3, 2005, Elsie Goodwin Gregory, 95, of 588 Ocean Ave., West Haven, wife of the late Charles (Gus) Gregory, mother of John Emery Gregory and his wife, Kathryn of Erie, PA and Jerrold Wirth Gregory and his wife, Carolyn of Trumbull. Also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Esther Goodwin Smith Shaw. Elsie was born in Westbrook, ME, Oct. 3, 1910 a daughter of the late Franklin W. and Alice Emery Goodwin. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in West Haven for over 50 years. She took many writing courses at SCSU and was an avid writer about family history and has had work published in Yankee Magazine. She was an organist for several local churches. Funeral service Mon., Nov. 7 at 12:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, West Haven.
