Meriden- Emil E. Hermann, 94 husband of the late Amy (Berry) Hermann died on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Miller Memorial Community. He was born August 31, 1915 in Bristol, CT a son of the late Theodore and Leonida (Fink) Hermann. He was a machinist at Pratt & Whitney until retiring. Emil was a parishioner of St. John Lutheran Church and his great passion was gardening. The family would like to thank Miller Memorial, especially Pat and the caregivers on the second floor for all the loving care given to Emil. He is survived by a daughter Cynthia Kreminski of Meriden, a son Kurt Hermann and his wife Eileen of Hebron, CT, a grandson, Michael Kreminski and his wife Kimberly of Parrish, FL, two great-grandchildren, Beckett and Ava as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday January 23, 2009 at 11:00am at St. John Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave., Meriden. A reception and luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations in Emil's memory may be made to Rabe Scholarship Fund, St. John Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.

  1. Mr. Hermann was a great neighbor. My parents enjoyed his company very much. He was a very friendly man and would always stop and talk awhile. My condolences to the family.

  3. Cindy, Emil lived a very full life. I still remember the many hours spent with him over a drink of scotch and the many dinners we had. I’ll always remember his corn.He enjoyed life. May he rest in peace.
