Emilia 'Emily' Esposito Bodle, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 9, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Emily was born in New Haven on January 30, 1929, a daughter of the late Michael J. and Cristina Romano Esposito and was a longtime resident of Hamden. She received her nursing degree from the Yale Nursing School and was a Registered Nurse before her retirement. Survivors include her loving sons, Robert Bodle and his wife Lenore and Ronald Bodle and his wife Kathy, her spouse, Anthony Crisci, a beloved sister, Ann Marie Fuoco and her husband Raymond, two brothers, Pasquale A. Esposito, and Michael J. Esposito, Jr. and his wife Marilyn, four grandchildren, Michael Bodle, Jessica Hampton, Joseph and Christopher Bodle and a great-granddaughter Allison Marie Hampton, a special niece, Cristina Fuoco, and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Esposito as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly as their Emmy. She was predeceased by her husband Harold A. Bodle, a grandson, Robert Bodle and two brothers, Anthony and Alexander Esposito. Funeral services will take place on Friday July 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, Hamden. Relatives & friends may visit with her family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Entombment will take place in All Saints Mausoleum, North Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Home & Hospice Care, 267 Finch Ave., Meriden, CT 06451.
