Emily L. Dondi

Emily L. Dondi, 95, of Hamden, passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Waterbury on January 30, 1921 to the late Pasquale and Theresa Albina Parlapiano. Her loving husband, Ralph J. Dondi, predeceased her many years ago. Emily was the head teller for over 25 years at a local bank. After her retirement, she enjoyed 'working' with her close friend, Marie Aiello, at Bell Nursery. For over 30 years, she enjoyed trips to Florida with family during the winter months. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for over 70 years. Emily leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Valerie Dondi. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Sylvia and Michael Matarese, Theresa and Theodore Olear, Philip and Margaret Leone, Karen and William Patterson, Gary and Barbara Parlapiano, Paula and Thomas Mailander and Christine and Edward Montanez as well as many great nieces and nephews. Emily was also predeceased by five brothers and four sisters. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Friday, January 27th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Whitney Ave, Hamden at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
