Erna Mae Titus

Erna Mae Titus, age 85, died peacefully in Branford on July 16, 2013. She was predeceased by her brothers, Henry A. (Harry) Titus and Kenneth A. Titus, of Stony Creek. She was born in Branford on August 1, 1927, to Henry Birdsall Titus and Erna Aten Titus, who were summer residents of Stony Creek. She lived with her parents in Brooklyn, NY, and later in Leonia, NJ. The family moved to Branford in the mid-1950's. Ms. Titus loved her family and was devoted to her parents and brothers. She is survived by her nieces Judith Titus November of Dennis, MA, Kathryn Coffin of Stony Creek, Linda Titus of Hanover, NH, and nephews Kenneth Charles Titus of San Diego, CA, and James Henry Titus of Branford, CT, her cousin Mary Lou MacPherson of Canton, CT, as well as 8 great-nieces and nephews, 6 great-great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. She will be remembered lovingly for her gentle spirit and devotion to family. Interment will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
