Sharpe, Ethel J. Ondy Ethel Sharpe, resident of North Haven most of her life, passed away Feb.19, 2009. Ethel was predeceased by her devoted husband Raymond M. Sharpe & a sister, Matilda Hozjan. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Alex Ondy & Sophie Sabo Ondy. Ethel is survived by her cherished daughter & son in-law, Corinne & Louis Faiella of Wallingford; beloved grandson Louis Faiella III; brother Elmer Ondy of Fairfield; niece Elizabeth Ondy Cook & nephews John Hozjan & Edward Ondy. She worked in retail sales all her life, employed with Coppercraft, Princess House, Queensway Fashions, Fashion Boutique and most recently as co-owner and operator with her daughter of Corinne's for Brides, formerly in North Haven. Ethel enjoyed working with people, but her greatest joy and purpose in life was as a loving grandmother to her beloved grandson, Louie. Her funeral will leave from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden, on Monday Feb. 23, 2009 at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 10 AM in St. Barnabas Church, North Haven. Relatives & friends may also visit with her family at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 6 PM. Interment will take place in All Saint's Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the National Emphysema Foundation Inc. 15 Belden Ave. Norwalk, CT 06850.

I always thought of your Mother as a second .Mom. to me back in the day. Your Mother epitomized the word ‘Lady’ with her grace and elegance.
