Eulalia Candelario-Santos, 86, of Meriden, CT, loving wife of the late Jose Luis Velazquez, passed away on June 24, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico on February 12, 1937, a daughter of the late Irene Candelario and Victoria Santos. Eulalia worked as a seamstress in Brooklyn, New York for many years. She also believed wholeheartedly in her spirituality. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, listening to music, her word find puzzles, and playing the lotto. Above all else, her greatest joy was her family, especially her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who all deeply miss her.
Eulalia is survived by her four daughters, Yvette Rivera, Nores Rivera and her husband Eddie, Nelida Rivera, and Omaira Gonzalez and her husband Edwin. She also leaves eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, five sisters, and one brother. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three siblings.
A Memorial Service celebrating Eulalia’s life will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. in The Evergreens Cemetery, 1629 Bushwick Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11207.

This candle 🕯 light by the power of the Holy Spirit is an honor for my Titi Yita as she is lead into eternity by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
