In Branford, March 28, 2001, Eunice P. Lawson, 72, of 30 Patterson Rd., Hamden, died after a brief illness. Mother of Judith Lynn Lawson of West Haven, Jeffrey Parker Lawson of West Palm Beach, FL, James Donald Lawson of Cheshire, John Douglas Lawson of Wolcott and Jay Robert Lawson of Clearwater, FL. Also survived by 5 grandchildren. She was the wife of the late Howard Zabel and predeceased by her first husband George J. Lawson and a brother Donald E. Parkker Jr. She was born in Meriden, May 5, 1928 daughter of the late Donald E. Parker and Harriet Cawse Parker. She was a dog lover an avid golfer with the Sleeping Giant Golf Association and an active member of the Hamden Plains United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will be held at Hamden Plains United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Dixwell Ave. & Church St., Hamden on Sat. March 31 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 61 Burban Dr., Branford 06405 or Hamden Plains United Methodist Church, Book of Remembrance, 15 Church St., Hamden 06514. The world is a brighter place because she was here.
