Eunice Voos Miller

Wallingford - Eunice Voos Miller, life long resident of Hamden and Cheshire, and wife of the late Charles P. Miller, died on April 25, 2007. Mrs. Miller was born on August 26, 1913, daughter of the late Carl and Johanna Ploehn Voos. She was the sister of Audrey Kasek and Jane Frankforter, the late Raymon P. Voos and the late Carlton Voos, sister-in-law of John Frankforter Sr., and Claire Voos. She is survived by her step-daughters Judy Oulette and Arlene Miller. She is also survived by step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was a kindergarten teacher at Helen Street School for over 30 years. She was a founding member of St. Peters on the Hill Episcopal Church of Hamden and an active member of Grace-St. Peters Church. She was also a member of the Girls Friendly Society and held many parish, diocesan and national positions within the organization. She will be sadly missed by family and all who knew her. Funeral service Tuesday, May 1 at 10 a.m. at Grace & St. Peters Episcopal Church, 2927 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Friends may call at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Monday, April 30 from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Centerville Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to the Girls Friendly Society c/o Grace-St. Peters Church, 2927 Dixwell Ave., P.O.Box 185065, Hamden, CT 06518.

  1. .Miss Voos. was my kindergarten teacher at Helen Street School in 1946-47. I liked her. I recently found my report card from that year, in which she encourages me .in use of scissors. and to .work more carefully.. I am now a quilter.
