Evelyn F. Cusano

Evelyn F. Cusano, 97, wife of the late John Cusano, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2016 with family by her side. Born in New Haven on April 21, 1919 to the late John and Margaret O'Brien McGrath. Evelyn will be missed by her children, Evelyn Pattison of Hamden, Richard (Paula) Cusano of Killingworth, and Jack (Catherine) Cusano of Canada; grandchildren, Robert Pattison, Jr., Wendy Chase, Tracy and Eric Cusano; and four great-grandchildren; Predeceased by her siblings, Lawrence McGrath, John McGrath, Helen Greenberg, Margarett Kimler, Mary Doherty, and Nora Mulhern, her son, Edward Cusano, and her son-in-law, Robert Pattison. Evelyn is a lifelong resident of Hamden having grown up on her family's farm on Evergreen Avenue. When she wasn't spending quality time with her family, she enjoyed gardening, watching golf, crossword puzzles, and reading. Playing cards was one of her most favorite past times whether during her weekly games with friends or when her grandchildren visited. Funeral from BEECHER&BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, June 17th followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with her family on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
