Evelyn Koenigsberg

Evelyn DeMayo Koenigsberg, wife of the late Frank W. Koenigsberg, of Hamden passed away January 31, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born in New Haven October 3, 1934, a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Sadie Canfield DeMayo, and had resided in Hamden for over 40 years. Evelyn was employed at the Arden House as the purchasing agent for 25 years before her retirement in 1997. Mother of Deborah (Dean) Volain of North Haven, Karen Koenigsberg of MD, and Carol May of Hamden. Sister of Stanley (Alicia) DeMayo of Middlebury, CT, John (Lois) DeMayo of Meriden, and Joel (Lorraine) DeMayo of AL. Grandmother of Elizabeth (Scott) Roston, Stephanie Carpegna, Frank Carpegna, Daniel Roston, David (Claire) Volain and Aaron Volain. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter Kaylee. Friends are invited to visit with her family at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN Monday morning, Feb. 6, from 9:00 to 10:00 am followed by a prayer service at 10:00 am.
