Dear family of Evelyn Rivers, I work at the Wallingford Public Library and have fond memories of Mrs. Rivers. She would often walk to the Yalesville Branch of the library to get her books for the week. We would have time for conversation and we always enjoyed her visits. Also, when the Children’s dept. was housed in Yalesville, Mrs. Rivers volunteered to help with various activities and seemed to enjoy that. Later, when she could no longer get to the library I would deliver books to her at the trailer park. She really appreciated my visits with her during that time and I was happy to spend the time with her. She had a very interesting life. I wondered what happened to her after she had the stroke. My condolences to all of you. Amy Humphries
My thoughts and prayers are with you; Mary, Beth and families. May God bless you and keep you strong during this difficult time. Your Grandmother was quite a character and will be missed by many.
Paying my respects to my father’s aunt. My father is Fredric Harry Gaiser son of Harry Alfred Gaiser, Evelyn’s brother. I am compiling my family’s history as Capitola Gaiser did before me. I have a picture of Evelyn and her two brothers dated December 25, 1913. Sincerely, Luicina
