Evelyn Noble Dahlgard
In Wallingford, July 1, 2003, Evelyn Noble Dahlgard, 100, of 22 Masonic Ave., formerly of Atwood Ave., West Haven, wife of the late Victor W. Dahlgard, mother of Shirley and her husband, Harold Michel of Bethany and James and his wife, Marilyn Dahlgard of West Haven. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Forbes and a brother, Ralph Noble. Evelyn was born in Naugatuck, July 1, 1903 a daughter of the late Burton and Elizabeth Stephenson Noble. She was a 75-year member of the First Congregational Church of West Haven and a 75-year member of Easter Star Golden Rod Chapter #34, O.E.S. of West Haven. She was a well-known artist in the West Haven area and had been a fashion illustrator for several of the New Haven department stores and also was an accomplished pianist and organist. Funeral service Thursday, July 3, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of West Haven, 1 Church St., West Haven.
