Evelyn P. Haling

MERIDEN - Evelyn P. Haling, 8l, of 26 Ann View Terrace, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of Gerald C. Haling. Born in Meriden on Sept. 7, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William Frederick and Frances Elizabeth Rodauch Priebe. She was a 1940 graduate of Meriden High School and had been employed as a secretary at Cooper Thermometer Company in Middlefield. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Paul Demers of Windsor; two grandchildren, Alison and Jill Demers of Windsor and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Priebe Kay and three brothers, Harold Priebe, Raymond Priebe and Walter Priebe. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Perry L. Beaver will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
