Faye Rose Caley, age 92, formerly of Hamden, passed away on Feb. 4, 2013. Faye was born in New Haven on Oct. 23, 1920, a daughter of the late Salvatore & Mary Cavallaro Maggio. Faye was the widow of Arthur E. Caley, Jr; mother of Marion Hinman of East Haven & the late William Hinman Sr; grandmother of Sharon & her husband Calvin Weingart, Robert Hinman & the late William Hinman, Jr; sister of Jean Ortowski & Anthony Maggio both of Hamden and the late Mary Ornato & Madeline Kasprzyki. Faye also leaves great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was an assembler & union steward for the former First Federal Box Company before her retirement. Faye was a resident of the Mary Wade Home in New Haven. Her family would like to thank the staff for the care and compassion that Faye received during her time there. Everyone involved made Faye feel special, as though she was in her own home. Friends may visit with her family on Thursday, Feb. 7th from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden and may attend her Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Stephen's Church, Hamden. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Contributions in Faye's memory may be made to the Mary Wade Home, 118 Clinton Ave, New Haven, CT 06513.
