Florence Arabolos Proestakis
Florence Arabolos Proestakis, 74, beloved wife of Peter Proestakis of North Haven passed away suddenly July 10, 2016. She was born in New Haven May 8, 1942, a daughter of the late John and Margaret Apostalon Arabolos. Cherished mother of Margaret (Pete) Chamberlain and George (Marla) Proestakis. Loving YiaYia to Stephen Chamberlain, Juliana and Nikolas Proestakis. Sister of William (Myung) Arabolos and aunt to their two children Molly and Jonathan (Sheila) Arabolos. Florence was a graduate of SCSU and taught for 5 years in the West Haven Elementary School system. She was an active member of the St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church. Florence will always be remembered for her brilliant smile, amazing cooking, positive outlook, generosity, and the love she had for her family and lifelong friends. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 14 at 11 am in St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church. Friends may visit at church Thursday from 10-11 am. Interment at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
